STATE IS ALWAYS READY OF ALABAMA...

Best QB in he SEC? Could be...
The term "trap game" has always bothered me.  This weekend the Tide travels to Starkville, the home of cowbells, to play Mississippi State.Mississippi State is ranked # 20 in the College Football Playoff Rankings. Alabama comes in at a strong #2. The CFPR is the only Poll, which matters at this point in the season. We are talking about two very good teams. State checks in at 7-2. They are not to be taken lightly. As previously stated, Alabama is on the road playing a top 20 team. I don't see the trap, but in all fairness, I get the drift of "trap".  Alabama just played the best game of its season, against the best team on its schedule to date and won going away. I'm not concerned about a team let down with Saban at the helm, and our senior leadership is making our players understand the importance of the game. I am concerned that it is a road game, and once again another team has extra time to prepare. MSU didn't have an open week but played on Thursday night. That gives some additional time to prepare and perhaps put in some new plays or even trick plays. The read option is always a bet with Prescott at QB.

Wilson is a load
The Bulldogs have two big time receivers, and Prescott has excellent timing with them on out routes and over the shoulder throws, and they are not to take a pounding in the middle.  Those guys are among the elite pass catchers in the SEC. Fred Ross, 6-1 slot receiver, has seen more touches as the season progress. But the go to guy for Prescott is De'runna Wilson, Wilson is 6-5 and weighs 225lbs. He will cause some real problems for Cyrus Jones. He is big, very strong, and has good speed. Both Wilson and Brown have excellent hands. They are not second rate when compared with other great wideouts in the SEC. The Bulldogs have the best quarterback in the SEC, perhaps the nation, in Dak Prescott. He can run like Tim Tebow, and now he can pass the ball with the best of them. Dak Prescott is highly mobile and can run for yardage needed for first downs. I think he is the best QB in the SEC. He also likes to throw on the run. That always gives Bama problems.

State's defense isn't nearly as deep as last season. Several games have seen them wear down in the forth quarter. Look for Henry to get 20 plus carries in the game. One place the State defense has been good is in the red zone. Their defense isn't up to the level as Alabama but it isn't chopped meat either.
